Almighty God, our Dear Father in Heaven ~ Thank you for the precious gift of life on this new day that brings refreshing sights, sounds, scents and much other hard evidence of your presence in our daily affairs. Give us wisdom so that we will not be deceived into following after voices that call us from the darkness of ignorance and deceit. Help us to sincerely accept the way of Christ as the only good and perfect way that leads from death to eternal life. Give us strength and courage so that we will be on the offensive to broadcast the Good News far and wide. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Photo: Yesterday was a day off for most Ukrainian workers in the public sector. Shops were mostly open to take advantage of the people milling about. Constitution Day - June 28, is celebrated in Ukraine as a legal holiday. This is the new constitution that was drafted following the country's independence from the USSR. The day mostly gives people a 3 day weekend that Americans are accustomed to on many holidays. We talked with Margarita at the Boy's Home and made an appointment to come and have our class with a group of 16 year olds. She said the boys are constantly asking about us. We will be very glad to meet with them.
