Great and Mighty LORD, our Merciful Father in Heaven ~ Thank you for the fresh hopes that arrive with this new day that shimmers with evidence of your watchfulness over all creation. Grant us wisdom and courage to be quick to forgive rather than quick to utter a curse upon those who offend us so that we will not end this life with bitterness in our heart toward other sinners. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.
The worship service here in Nikolaev was a wonderful experience. We had ten souls present to honor our risen Lord Jesus Christ! Ivan led us with comments at the Lord's Supper, and everyone sang with new enthusiasm. Yuri and his wife Sveta were with us again since they were able to escape from their dairy operation for a couple of hours. Ivan spent the rest of the day with us since he had to check out of the apartment that we rented for him earlier. We truly enjoyed the afternoon going over things here and in Magadan. Ivan can retire from his job as an Emergency Services Officer in two and a half years, and is so enthused about the work here in Nikolaev that he is determined to retire here and work with the church. If that is God's will, it will be a great benefit for this young church. We are truly thankful for the prayers about this work, and pray that God abundantly blesses you in your service to Christ.
