WORD OF THE DAY - Wednesday 01 April 2009

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:37-38 NIV)

Merciful God, our Heavenly Father ~ Thank you for the gift of life on this new day that is sparkling with the presence of your kindness and forgiveness. We need forgiveness from our sins. Wash us clean as we repent and obey Christ who shed His blood for our many sins. Help us not to be stingy and hold back forgiving those who injure us. Help us to be quick to forgive others and very slow to find fault with them. In Jesus name, Amen.
Photo: October 2008. Our plane approaches Magadan in Russia's far east. This region also goes by the name of the mighty Kolyma river. Several million people were sentenced to the GULAG prison camps during Stalin's rule. So many injustices were done against individuals who in some cases were only guilty of loving Christ more than the State. Now, with God's help, the Gospel is proclaimed in this land.
