WORD OF THE DAY - Saturday 01 August 2009

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

Almighty God, our Most Kind and Merciful Father in Heaven ~ Thank you for the numerous blessings and stimulations that we receive on this new day that greets us with many reminders of your constant loving care. Help all believers in Christ not to deliberately flirt with sin, and make a mockery of His supreme sacrifice, by behaving as if we are in control of the day of our death and can somehow make things right at the last moment. Give us courage and wisdom to remain faithful to the truth that comes from our Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, Amen.

Yesterday we had 13 children again for our afternoon Bible classes. Everyone recited their memory verses, and they continue to be anxious to come to our meetings and greet us with jubilance when we see them on the street. In the morning, we moved more of our stuff to the apartment. This morning we check out of the hotel and do some shopping for our new home here in Nikolaev, and also items we need for the children's activities. Today, we must find some time to make additional preparations for the arrival of our helpers, Viktor and Oxana along with their children, Ilya and Nazar. They are bringing some materials with them to help with these children's Bible classes. Also, today I want to finish our advertisements that we can hand out to people we meet on the street. All that along with checking out of the hotel room that we had already paid for through Friday night. We continue to be hopeful that some of the parents and others who told us they will attend worship services will indeed make their presence known. We are keenly aware of God's constant help in this work and your prayers. Thank you.
