O LORD Almighty, our Heavenly Father and God of all people on this earth of your creation ~ Thank you for the indescribable gift of a new life in Christ. Open our spiritual eyes so that we will ascertain the awe-inspiring value of eternal life. Give us wisdom and moral courage so that we will turn our backs upon whatever things and ideas of this life that prevents us from devoting complete service to our Christ our Lord and King. We spent several hours at the church meeting place yesterday in the cold room. Galina began to get the chills in the early afternoon, and was still shivering around 6 when it was time for services. I went on without her, and used some of my rudimentary Russian and we sang songs, prayed and read scripture in Russian and English. It was a good time together with the small group of 3. With the use of our little space heater, Galina got warmed up by the time I got home. Today we expect to have our places heated up with that good steam heat from the heatmeister of the city.
