WORD OF THE DAY - Monday

Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." (James 4:15 NIV)

Our Dear Heavenly Father ~ Thank you for life with fresh hopes on this new day that greets us with evidence of your presence in our lives. Help us to live each day knowing that we will only be on this earth for a brief time. Give us more of your infinite wisdom so that we will be better equipped to teach others the more perfect way. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Sunday was another opportunity for the church to assemble in sweet communion. We only had 8 souls present, but the faithfulness of each of the Christians here is most encouraging. Before the worship began, I made the announcement about our upcoming trip to Magadan. We plan to leave Nikolaev tomorrow by train for Moscow. From there we catch the 8 hour non-stop flight to Magadan. Following our worship, we had a period of fellowship and discussed how the church will continue their worship and Bible study meetings. Nikolai Tkhor agreed to be responsible for opening and closing the room each time since Nikolai Gagarkin will be out of town on business most of the time we are gone. Our brother Tkhor agreed to do the preaching and teaching while we are gone and Lyudmila will prepare the communion each Lord's Day. They are pleased to have the opportunity for growth while we are away. Nikolai said he had not been able to understand why I keep talking about Magadan. Then, he said he put himself in my shoes and could see that with all the experiences we have had in Magadan and the love we have for the church there and the church for us. Thank you for the prayers for God's harvest field of Ukraine and Russia.
