Most Holy and Powerful God, our Dear Father in Heaven ~ Thank you for the precious and mysterious gift of life that ignites this mortal body. Most of all, we are thankful for the new life we enjoy since receiving Jesus Christ as Lord. Give us wisdom and courage to overcome the constant affection toward earthly things that are only a symbol of the vastly superior eternal life in Heaven that is reserved for the faithful. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
As we were walking home yesterday evening after our Wednesday evening service, we noticed so many sweet smelling lilac bushes in full bloom on nearly every property. We have long hours of sunlight now and that is warming up the ground. Following our study with Olamide, I spent a little time with him to teach him some basics of music that is used in singing. He had his first day of training for football (soccer) yesterday afternoon. He grows stronger each day in his knowledge of the truth. Before our evening services, we had a very good study with Stepan and Luda. They are neighbors and nearly always come together. This morning is the first day that we have had any opportunity to go to a market and search for shoes for the orphan boys at the Boys Home. We hope that we will find what we need and be able to take them something on Saturday. Thank you for the prayers and words of encouragement.
